Notables

Claypool was one of CSU's earliest verbal commitments, but RamNation has learned he will not be attending CSU.

Claypool is transferring from Navarro Community College. He will spend one more season at Navarro and then transfer to CSU in the fall of 2006. He'll have two years of eligibility. Claypool prepped at Overland High School in Aurora, and was a first-team 5A All-State selection his senior year. Out of high school, Claypool received interest from a number of schools, including CSU, but he did not qualify academically, forcing him to go to junior college. Claypool played a significant part of Navarro’s defensive front in 2004, and should contend for all-conference honors as a sophomore.

According to Navarro Community College coach Chuck Lawrence, Claypool should finish his academic requirements at Navarro next spring, and be enrolled at CSU for the fall semester in 2006.
